The Best Pizza In The World

Ok, it's not really the best pizza in the world, but it is our favouite pizza to make at home. My husband or I make the base following Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's "magic bread dough" recipe. You make it up, divide into batches and freeze it so you can have it whenever you fancy. The toppings are just courgettes, green peppers, ricotta and cheddar. If you think that all sounds pretty ordinary, it's only because you haven't tasted it yet, my friend....

Yup...

    1. Ah, I had to look up what that meant, but yes! It's pizza without sauce :) My other favourite is to make it with cavolo nero cabbage (or Kale) and onion

  2. Zucchini is my favorite! I had to google "courgette" - I had no idea it was also called that. That looks so good...I like to make my own pizzas. Last time I made one I used kale, manchego, and chorizo. Not sure if you're a vegetarian (My diet is 90% vegetarian) but the chorizo made it nice and spicy.

    1. Haha, yeah I think it's only us British folk who call them that. My Aussie husband thinks it's ridiculous to call Zucchini's "courgettes" :P Ooh, your pizza idea sounds good. Well, I eat fish so I can't call myself a vegetarian even though I don't eat other types of meat. I did find a fake pepperoni product the other week though that tastes almost like the real thing so I might try making a pizza with that!

    2. It sounds pretty fancy - I might have to use it to impress someone the next time I make a zucchini dish. I've tried a couple meat substitute products like Boca Burgers and seitan jerky, but I didn't care for them. I've been afraid to try anything else like tempeh.
