Mini Mini Vegan Chickpea Burgers

This weekend we made chickpea burgers for the first time. We didn't realise you could buy cooked chickpeas and ended up getting a massive bag of uncooked ones so ended up using a pressure cooker to avoid the normal 2 hour cooking time... it all worked out in the end though! And since we now have about four months worth of chickpeas, my boyfriend made up more of the burger mix (with onions and extra garlic this time) and gave me some to take home!

Here is the result... I attempted to cook it tonight for my dad and me.

I put "burger buns" on the shopping list for him to pick up and he managed to get a bit confused and picked up hot cross buns instead :s He didn't realise hot cross buns were sweet and thought they'd be like regular burger buns...

Anyhoo... I managed to find some mini buns at the back of the freezer and that's why our burgers are about 2 and half inches wide (how cute is that?).

I plopped on some slices of applewood smoked cheese (the only hamburger cheese) and served with lettuce and ketchup. Neato.

In the end we've decided that, even though vegans have the best food, it would be hard to eat vegan all the time since I would miss eggs and milk and fish and my boyfriend would miss... uh... steak.

Eyebawllz

I ordered some Kreepsville 666 hair bobbles from Attitude Clothing the other day. I nearly went for the clips instead of the bobbles, but I thought it would be cute to use the bobbles for pigtails or pontytails.

The bows themselves are shiny pvc. I just realised I own way too much pvc at the moment (is that possible though?). I even found a black pvc make-up bag from h&m a while ago too.

Trying out bunches...

... And here's my fairly new pvc Hell Bunny skirt.

It's difficult to see, but I also tried out crescent nails. I did it using pink varnish over the whole nail, masking off the cuticle area with round stickers and painting over in black.

Sunny Days In England, Snow In Scotland

I went down to England the other weekend with my boyfriend and his family for his niece's dedication. Look at that sunshine! It's ridiculous. Right here where I'm sitting it's snowing outside the window, would you believe?

My fella's kinda hunched over in this photo so you can't see how ridiculously short I am next to him. You can, however, see that I really need to fix the Peste Noire patch on my jacket... and re-dye my hair. Oopsie.

The snow/hail outside my window right now

Pink, Yellow and Blue Cake Pops

I got hold of some pink, yellow and blue candy melts to make sweet cake pops for my niece's 2nd birthday. the teddybear (koala?) ones had a bit of 'melty-face' going on by the time they were packed and taken to the party and a few others fell off the sticks, but luckily people never seem to mind about that sort of thing!
My favourite ones were the rainbow cake pops made by dripping on all three colours of candy melt (third pic from the bottom). I just wish I had taken a photo of them like they were at the party: in my sister's porcelain vase that looks like a minituare milk bottle. Too cute.
